About Me

I am a Canadian based multidisciplinary artist specializing in cold wax, oil, encaustic, and ceramic mediums. Born and raised between the Pacific Northwest and France, my practice is deeply influenced by the landscapes I have inhabited, cultural traditions, and the artists throughout history who have shaped my understanding of visual expression.

My work is rooted in an exploration of material, colour, texture, and organic form. Whether through layered painting surfaces or hand-built ceramic vessels, my process is intuitive and responsive to the unique qualities of each medium. I am drawn to the dialogue between control and spontaneity and the way materials reveal their own character through the act of making.

My ceramic practice reflects a deep appreciation for traditional craft, particularly the meditative processes of hand coiling and wheel throwing. Through sculptural forms, tactile surfaces, and hand rendered details, I explore the relationship between natural landscapes, cultural memory, and the human experience. Each vessel becomes an opportunity to honour the material itself while creating a contemporary expression of form and storytelling.

My paintings often portray a sense of femininity through colour, rhythm, and organic shapes found throughout natural and architectural landscapes. Across both painting and ceramics, I explore the evolving development of self, from translucent layers and elemental forms that reflect the intrinsic qualities of nature, to defined gestures, surface markings, and cultural references that express identity and personal narrative.
